Vivienne Rickman-Poole is an artist, educator and outdoor swimmer. She has lived in the mountains of Snowdonia for 15 years. Her project #swimsnowdonia was listed amongst 'The 10 most inspiring adventures' in The Guardian and has been the focus of several short films including a music video for the band Elbow. Her film 'Afterglow' won Best Woman in Adventure Gold Award at Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. Vivienne was included in the first San Miguel Rich List, 'a unique list of men and women who value experiences over any possession’ and has recently been listed as one of 'Britains 101 most inspiring Adventurers’. She is Ambassador for The Outdoor Swimming Society.
At The Good Life Experience this year, Vivienne will lead a number of small group swims in The Lake. Each 20 minute swim will be followed by a session where the swimmers use the swim as starting point to create something interesting, perhaps a drawing or a poem. The full session will be around one hour. There will also be a lakeside fire for swimmers to warm themselves by, with marshmallows and tea.
