SO THIS WAS 2017: LOOKING BACK ON 20 FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

2017 has been unanimously declared the best Good Life Experience to date. As we speed towards the end of 2017, we've been reflecting on some of our favourite parts of the festival, so here are 20 of our best bits:

1. KANSAS SMITTY'S BAR
With its varied programme of jazz -but not as you know it- and the very best juleps we've ever tasted. Kansas Smitty's will be back in 2018, and we are excited. Take a look at this minute-long film for a taste of what's to come.

2. THE FEASTS
Tickets to our 2017 TGLE Feasts sold out in just 48 hours. Seven chefs cooked up four very special Feasts for 300 lucky festival-goers. It was a truly collaborative affair with many of the chefs from our Campfire Cooking line-up pitching in to stoke the fire and dig the pit on Sunday. The Feasts will be back in 2018, with first access to tickets being offered to festival ticket buyers. Stay tuned for news of what's in store.

3. AUTHOR MICHAEL ROSEN
Children and grown-ups alike were enthralled by Michael's fantastic performance of We're Going on a Bear Hunt.

4. SINGING + SPOKEN WORD AT THE OLD CASTLE
Cerys kicked off the festival, hosting a singing and spoken word event for our festival pioneers at the Old Castle with choir master James Sills. It was something special indeed.

5. BRITISH SEA POWER
Joined on stage by a polar bear (with another bear dancing away in the audience), an owl and a small child, BSP played a phenomenal Saturday night set.

6. ALL THE CAMPFIRES
Our campfires bring everyone together. They’re a big part of our festival and we love seeing everyone (safely!) stoke them all weekend long.

Thomasina Miers, Tom Herbert, Valentine Warner, Anna Jones and so many more; we were spoiled. We are currently finalising our 2018 campfire cooking line-up, so look out for news early in 2018.

Led by wonder team, James Sills and Dom Stichbury, our The Good Life Chorale, made up of festival goers of all ages, was a resounding hit. And don't forget those Ale House Wailers,

14. A WORLD OF CRAFT
Weavers, screen printers, ceramacists, wood workers, calligraphers, spoon carvers, leather workers and more. In 2018 we look forward to two further craft areas, one of which will focus on traditional Welsh craftspeople. Find out who is already on board here.
