Clare Goodman studied art in Lincoln and then Bradford with the idea that she would make her career as a painter. Life took a different turn and she spent the next 20 years working as an occupational therapist in North and East London. Seven years ago she signed up for classes at a local pottery studio and pottery became the stress-relief from her day job, and working with clay reignited Clare's dream of becoming an artist. In a major life change, Clare moved to rural Norfolk and in 2016 established her own pottery studio, Wayside Pottery. She now works full-time as a ceramic artist, developing her own work, taking commissions, teaching small classes and running workshops in the community. Head to Makers' Row to sign up for one of Clare's workshops at The Good Life in September.
